On April 8-10, 2024, a three-day pilot training for trainers of transversal entrepreneurial skills took place in Sofia, dedicated to knowledge transfer regarding the 3I conceptual model in entrepreneurship education. Eight experienced VET educators from Poland and Bulgaria participated, specializing in entrepreneurship education and soft skills.
The 3I model focuses on three dimensions of entrepreneurial attitude development. Insight encompasses creativity, imagination and opportunity recognition. Independence focuses on autonomy, self-awareness and internal motivation. Initiative concerns problem-solving, value creation and taking action.
Each day of the April training was dedicated to one dimension of the 3I model. The methodology was based on interactions, discussions with experts and practical testing of training tools. Participants learned about educational games, interactive exercises and case studies they can use in their work.
The trainers deepened their knowledge of entrepreneurial competences and learned about the relationship between the 3I model and the European EntreComp framework. The training enabled exchange of experiences between Polish and Bulgarian educators and establishing contacts with European VET organizations. Participants are now prepared for practical application of the innovative 3I model in entrepreneurship education.
